Food stalls at Folklife.
During my lunch break today I decided to take a short walk around Seattle Center. Completely forgot that Northwest Folklife had started today, it was actually hopping with tons of people for a drizzly Friday afternoon. So I wandered around the huge mass of hippies in search of my free samples and gifts, but my short venture was not dull at all.
It started off with a fire alarm going off at the Center House and everyone was immediately hustled out of there. I was able to pick up some coupons, a blow up hammer (which will be great for my job), and cute girly gardening gloves. The gloves are great, they will come to good use when I do my wine bottling.
Soon after I collected all of my freebies, a lady asked me if I was that “Cho girl”. Because really, Margaret Cho would be traipsing around Folklife with her hands filled with freebies. I actually do look slightly like Cho during her heftier years, but she has long since lost the weight and looks absolutely fabulous now.

Shattered glass from hippy fight.
On my way out there was a huge crash and everyone within hearing distance started running “toward” the sound. I was only a couple of feet away when it happened. Two guys got into an altercation and one shoved the other into the window. But they bolted as soon as the glass broke.
Well, that is enough Folklife for me. If I have a ton of time between movies this weekend and I happen to be in area, I may stop by but it won’t be by choice.

Beware of the Tofurky!
BEWARE of the Tofurky. That is just wrong on so many levels. Actually sounds like some kind of strange bird.
