A movie that was created from a ‘fake’ trailer, who woulda thunk it. A trailer called Machete was originally made for the intermission of Grindhouse, which was the birth of full feature Mexploitation film to be made at a later date. And now it is that later date and Machete has been brought to full life.
This movie is definitely not for everyone. If you don’t like gore, slash, gratuitous sex, tongue in cheek jokes, can’t take jokes about immigration, or can’t take jokes about Mexicans, then you should not see this movie. But if you like all of the above DEFINITELY see this movie. See it in a crowded theater makes this film even more fun. There is a lot of laughing, clappinging and hooting.
The cast emsemble is quite interesting… Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Don Johnson, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, etc. If you blink, you might miss the cameo of Quentin Tarantino. Most of the cast was wonderful. I have reservations about Steven Seagal. Really, someone please take the donuts away from this guy. He honestly doesn’t even look like he could even kick my ass. Okay, he probably could but definitely not Jessica Alba. What happened to him? He used to be such a bad ass, now he is such a fluff-a-nutter. And maybe Jessica Alba can’t act, but she sure is nice to look at. There is a very short full nude shower scene with her. She has a soft spot in my heart, I use to watch Dark Angel.
On the topic of nudity, there is quite a bit of hispanic chica eye candy. Add in nurses with short dresses carrying guns, nun with gun, crop top shirt wearing girls with guns, bra wearing girl with guns, and a woman pulling out a cell phone from her …
Danny Trejo definitely kicked tons of ass. That is putting it mildly, make sure to check out the Red Band Trailer to see what he can do with intestines. I didn’t post that trailer up on this site due to the graphic content and nudity.
